Ski Racing Thread 24/25

With lack of snowmaking temps forcing the cancellation of the Nor-Am's out west how is Killington here in the east looking for the womens WC? Anyone headed to Tremblant for the next womens WC race? Looks like Lindsey Vonn will be making a comeback this year.........will be interesting to watch. Hopefully we see Sam with more top 30 results this year.......keep the momentum going! Anything exciting going on at the local level?

Killington just received the go on snow control for the WC races. Probably the most expensive snowmaking build to date, they were making snow in upwards of 37 degree air temp weather (thank goodness for the super dry air stretch we had making wet bulb around 28 those days). All their old tech air hog guns to the rescue!

That is great news. Im sure Tremblant wont have a problem with snow if Killington is good to go. If Tremblant is on the schedule next year I might try and go.

I was wondering when/if Lindsey Vonn would be starting on the WC.......she placed 14th in the SG at St Moritz.

I saw that MS got back on skis this week. Still a ways from full on training and competition but she’s on her way back.

The longest Downhill on the Mens WC Circuit will be happening and Sam posted a solid result in the training run yesterday..........a Top 20 in the race would be great.

At Sugarloaf, seeing the scoreboard. She was winning by seconds.

Amazing, how she went on to break all the winning records.

The Nor Am Finals at Sugarloaf will be held in the next few days, bringing some world-class racing to Narrow Gauge. If you're on the slopes, it's worth watching a few runs.
