NEMBA getting a bad rep at local drinking holes

Postby wigman » Thu Oct 12, 2017 10:32 am

I have friends that work at several local restaurants and bars. The word is that NEMBA events bring not so friendly, poor tipping clientele. My family are all NEMBA members as are many of my friends. NEMBA has been great for our mountain biking.

So what gives? Why the attitude by some? I’m surprised to hear about this. I have always thought of mountain bikers as skiers on wheels. Discuss

Servers might be mixing them up with NAMBLA members who are bad in every way.
Ski season is usually too short

WOW.........surprising. That's the first negative comment I've heard in that context. My first reaction was this must be a one-off, but your post referenced "several" restaurants and bars. Not sure what to say other than every demographic, I suppose, has a certain number of a**holes (yep, skiers too !!) and these big events are bound to attract some of them. Growing pains ?????
