Closing Day

Have they set an official closing day? Some people have been saying May 5th, but they aren't selling day tickets in May yet.

The notice that went out on the West Mountain chair running, referenced a closing date of 5/4, but as we all know a lot can change before then.

Place your bets!

Sunday River is closing 4/28

K-Mart selling weekend lift tix through end of May

Last Sugarloaf winter “event” showing after reggae, pond skimming and passholder BBQ is Maine Day 4/24. I can’t find their spring schedule yet. Latest day tickets are now on sale is 4/28

these guys seem to have been tracking it lately. Didn't make it to May last year nor the early close due to Covid in 2020 and that would have been a great spring!

Looks like Cinco de Mayo is the planned last day this season

The Snubber mid-station is closed for lack of snow, so you need to go all the way down to Snowbrook to get on. Don’t see it lasting more than a couple days longer. It’s rough by the health club and more mud than snow at this point.

SPRING SCHEDULE

Sugarloaf is the King of Spring, and nothing beats the long warm days and great spring snow that has made spring skiing at Sugarloaf world-famous. As the days grow longer and the lift lines grow shorter, our lift operation schedule changes as well. See below for our anticipated lift schedule throughout the 2024 spring season. This schedule is subject to change based on snow conditions, weather, and other factors.

Operations Schedule:
NOTE: Western Maine Transportation is closed for the season. Sugarloaf parking shuttles will continue as scheduled servicing only parking lots through the end of the season, no direct condo pickup / drop off.

Monday, April 15th-Sunday, April 21st

Scheduled Lifts: SuperQuad, Skyline, Timberline, Skidway, Sawduster.
**Last day for Bullwinkle's & Widowmaker is Sunday, April 21st; 45 North moves to dinner service, open daily 4pm - 9pm.

Monday, April 22nd - Thursday, April 25th

Scheduled Lifts: SuperQuad, Skyline,
**Narrow Gauge Food Court will continue to open daily; The Beach Bar will open daily pending weather through end of season.

Friday, April 26 - Sunday, April 28th

Scheduled Lifts: SuperQuad, Skyline, Skidway
Monday, April 29th - Friday, May 3rd

Scheduled Lifts: SuperQuad
Saturday, May 4th & Sunday, May 5th - CLOSING WEEKEND (our goal pending weather)

Scheduled Lifts: SuperQuad & Skyline
Monday, May 6th - CLOSED. Thanks for a great winter Sugarloafers! See you next season.

I fail to understand why we couldn't load Snubber mid on Monday. Unloading was not possible, but loading seemed to be, over the white plastic strips. I would like to understand the rationale for the decision.

I can imagine a requirement that if you can load you must also be able to ski out of a botched load.

A botched load might have given the two lifties sitting in the shack something to do.
