Smith Squad Mag

Postby darkwizard » Thu Jan 02, 2025 10:21 pm

Hey! I read on here about the Smith IO Mags being awesome and the storm rose being good lenses. After some pondering, I ended up going with the Smith Squad Mag ChromaPop with Everday Rose Gold Mirror and Storm Rose Flash. I read a comparison of the Squad Mag and IO Mag XL. It said the Squad had the better anti-fog capabilities. I've definitely had to remove my budget Smith goggles ($50 Frontier maybe) due to snow and fog conditions as well as cold when I've tried to put my hood over my helmet. Im the kind of guy who probably has steam coming out of the top of my head more than average and wearing my hood has been an absolute no go. These things led me to opt for the Squad Mag. Looking forward to trying them out.

I don't know about the Squad mag goggles but Mrs. WoA has the Smith IO Mag goggles and she likes them a lot. She has the Storm Yellow for flat light and that works really well for her.

The Smith IO’s are great. I have the Anon M4 and love those . I highly recommend investing in a clear lense , I find it much better on certain days than the yellow or rose. I had to order directly from Anon. They are so easy to change I just keep an darker lense in my coat if it gets too bright
