Saddleback New Years Weekend

Saddleback New Years Weekend

Overall good weekend at Saddleback. Got soaked Saturday morning but dried out and had a great afternoon. Like at Sugarloaf - early groomers were bomber runs today. Things got pretty scraped off by mid day so we called it a day kind of early. Considering the horrid winter Saddleback put out a good product this weekend. Decent crowd today too which was good to see for the mountain.

Some jerk-off was in the terrain park today. On the run he messed up a box and yell F**K at the top of his lungs. Then he messed up a rail and more screaming f-bombs flew. I can understand getting mad messing something up but the whole lower half of the mountain does not have to hear you.

I saw him later and a 10 year old kid cut him off inadvertently and the kid crashed in front of him on the butter jump. Bad terrain park etiquette by the 10 year old kid but come on - I thought he was going to explode on the spot. More f-bombs screaming at the top of his lungs. Worst thing was his this dude's Dad was filming him with his helmet cam and he was no better. Wild gesturing by the Dad and swearing at a 10 year old kid. Quite a pair. 20 something year old jerk-off and his 50 year old jerk-off father.

Very un-saddleback-like. I almost said something to the dudes but decided it was more trouble then it was worth. Kinda wish I did now...

Yea thanks Farmboy. Next time I should probably just tell Patrol. Nobody likes to be the tattle tale but I am glad someone did or that he was noticed...

Telling patrol is one option but the best option is to tell one of the terrain park crqew in orange jackets
