Open weekend?

Open weekend?

Postby Loafman138 » Wed Dec 14, 2011 12:31 pm

Wheeler Royal Tiger and the Grey ghost for this weekend? With the lower Quad and the two doubles? Will there be any park? I've got a killer shift to work Saturday but I'll try to be there on Sunday. Hopefully we can get some natural so maybe the smelt and G. Weaver could open sooner rather than later. Would be more than satisfied if we can get the weather for Ghost, Silver Doctor, Royal Coachmen and Weaver before Christmas, Summit before New Years. Hopefully no mid-holiday massacre this year, I'll be up that week.

conditions report says it will be Upper Gray Ghost, Lower Gray Ghost, Wheeler Slope and a Mini Terrain Park. If it is anything like last year Gray Ghost will have a good deep cover offering good early-season runs to get the legs stretched out. Hopefully this upcoming weather event stays more on the frozen side at elevation.

Yeah and you guys have always had Ghost burried. I'll take one deep-worry free trail than 2 iffy trails anyday of the week

Good Start. We were up on Sunday and Gray Ghost had good cover. You could tell there was a warm-up midweek as it was a Loose Granular skiing. Mid Gray Ghost was a bit chunky til mid-day and it got chopped up a bit. Great to get on the hill. Big snowmaking cloud over the mountain which was cool to see.
