An Epic Day

Postby Frontface » Mon Jan 22, 2024 10:04 pm

Today was great. The surface on every trail was spectacular. Packed powder from east to west. White Nitro (from the crosscut) was delightful. But the best part of the day was when Timberline started running (around noon). Gondi Extension was all corduroy and exhilarating! I'm still curious as to how to get to Powder Keg (which the Sugarloaf website lists as open) when all the access points are closed. Any ideas?

The sun came out just before noon so it truly was a perfect day.

Is the small section of Powder Keg open below Spillway x-cut? If so that’s probably why they list it as open.

Looks like they may have heard you as it's no longer marked open. Or maybe they noticed when they marked Gondi Ext open.

Thanks for the conditions report!
